Batch Mixing or Continuous Mixing?
Batch mixing is a process in which the ingredients for one batch are loaded (either at once or in a pre-defined sequence), mixed, and discharged from the mixer before another batch is introduced.
Continuous Mixing is the process of continuously metering ingredients directly into the mixing chamber and generating a continuous stream of mixed product at the exit of the mixer. The mixing can also be done in stages to ensure all ingredients are properly incorporated.
Many batch mixing systems can be automated to some degree, but Continuous Mixing Systems are naturally automated. They also provide a consistent, steady supply of dough; eliminate dough variables caused by batch mixing; offer high production rates with a single mixer; make changeovers quick and easy; and can be operated with less labor and energy than batch mixing.
A complete Exact Mixing Continuous Mixing System includes the mixer, blender, materials handling and ingredients metering equipment, and a control system that monitors and distributes product between them. We provide complete systems, testing, and installation supervision for both straight dough and liquid ferment systems.

Exact Mixing Hydrobond Technology brings liquids and a dry ingredient stream (typically flour) together quickly, with little temperature gain. It can be used with a continuous mixer to make the mixing process more efficient or with a pre-hydration system to mix flour, minors and water directly into a brew holding tank.
