Are you interested in Continuous Mixers for your bread and roll production lines? Look no further than Exact Mixing. We are dedicated to solving complex mixing challenges for customers across the globe
Exact Mixing, a Reading Bakery Systems brand, is a leading manufacturer of Continuous Mixing equipment. With our equipment and expertise, we can help you reduce labor, cut costs, improve consistency and simplify your mixing process.
For 25 years, we have developed continuous mixing systems that are ideal for the baked snack, cookie, cracker, sweet goods, pizza, tortilla, and bread and buns industries. We also offer continuous mixing solutions for non-bakery items, such as protein bars, peanut butter, icing and pet treats.
What is Continuous Mixing?
Industrial mixing involves four main operations:
- Delivering bulk ingredients (typically flour) to the mixing area;
- Measuring ingredients placed in the mixer;
- Mixing the ingredients into a dough;
- Handling the dough as it exits the mixer.
In the batch mixing process, these four operations are often treated, designed and implemented separately, while Continuous Mixing integrates all four operations into a single, streamlined process.
Bulk delivery, metering, mixing and dough handling become a consistent, uninterrupted process. Metering systems are accurate and designed for accuracies of ±0.25% or better. Products with very low to very high dough moisture levels are uniformly mixed without generating excessive heat. Dough is discharged from the mixer in a constant stream instead of in one large batch every 10 to 15 minutes.
Advantages of Continuous Mixing
- Improves reliability and repeatability
- Eliminates bun surface imperfections
- Creates consistent bun and roll shape
- Accommodates “within spec” flour variations
- Maximizes water absorption—reduces cost of ingredients, improves yield
- Eliminates dough contamination
- Quick and easy sanitation
- Reduces labor and peak energy demand
- Eliminates mixer loading errors
- Easy to learn and operate
- Allows consistent time between mixing and further processing
- Dough exits the mixer in usable sized loaves
Continuous mixing is not right for every application, but neither is batch mixing. If you currently have several batch mixers feeding one large production line, we can help you decide if Continuous Mixing could improve your process.
Continuous Mixing for Bread and Rolls
Exact Mixing has developed the HDX Continuous Mixer specifically to manufacture ultra-high absorption, highly developed dough, such as for breads, hamburger and hot dog buns, hard rolls, English muffins, tortillas, and multi-grain products, at low temperatures.
This High Development Continuous Mixer is a two-stage system. All ingredients are first mixed into a uniform mass with a twin screw mixer. In a separate section, the dough is kneaded to the proper development level with a single screw mixer.
The Exact HDX Mixer provides precise and uninterrupted ingredient metering to the mixer and eliminates the chance of contamination because the dough is never exposed to the environment. This mixer offers dough production rates from 1,500 to 10,000 kg/hour.
Exact Mixing offers the most advanced Continuous Mixers available today for your bread and bun production lines. Find out how they can provide product consistency, waste reduction and better yields.
