Continuous Mixer for Stackable Chips
The Exact Mixing FX Continuous Mixer was designed specifically for this chip process. It evenly distributes moisture throughout the potato dough by using a specialized liquid injection system and a revolutionary mixer shaft design.
The mixer evenly distributes small amounts of moisture into large amounts of powder. A high-speed mixing shaft lifts powdered ingredients into and through atomized liquids that are sprayed into the mixing chamber. This efficient process is well suited for hydroscopic powders such as potato flakes and other low moisture mixtures.
The FX Mixer is well-suited to products where critical moisture levels determine final product texture, such as fried potato rings, rice crisps, corn chips, veggie chips, potato snacks, multigrain chips, and more. It offers dough production rates from 100 to 1,250 kg/hour.
Modular Stackable Chip System
If you are considering the addition of new products, such as stackable fried chips, explore the benefits of the reliable and efficient Stackable Chip System for producers of fabricated stackable fried chips. The system is capable of producing between 500-1,000 kg/hr depending on the fryer capacity. (The fryer is not supplied by RBS.)
In addition to the specialized FX Continuous Mixer (described above), RBS offers a 2-Roll Sheeter and Rotary Cutting Station.
2-Roll Sheeter: The single-reduction, 2-Roll Sheeter produces a continuous dough sheet that is discharged directly onto the Rotary Cutter infeed conveyor. The product is then ready for the fryer (not supplied by RBS).
Rotary Cutting Station: The Thomas L. Green Rotary Cutting Station cuts distinct product shapes out of a single dough sheet continuously and accurately. An integrated conveyor system moves product through – and is pressured against – a rotating die assembly. Operators can adjust the pressure on the dough sheet during operation to ensure a thorough cut and consistent piece production.
