Exact Mixing is a leading manufacturer of Continuous Mixing equipment for your snack cracker, graham cracker, and saltines production line that can simplify your process and improve the quality of your products.
Since 1994, Exact Mixing, a Reading Bakery Systems brand, has solved complex mixing challenges for customers around the globe. Our Continuous Mixing systems are ideal for the baked snack, cookie, cracker, sweet goods, pizza, tortilla, and bread and bun industries. We also offer continuous mixing solutions for non-bakery items, such as protein bars, peanut butter, icing and pet treats.
Is Continuous Mixing Right for Your Application?
Continuous Mixing is not right for every application, but neither is batch mixing. If, for instance, you have several batch mixers feeding one large production line, Exact Mixing can help you decide how Continuous Mixing technology could improve your process.
Batch mixing has existed for many more years than Continuous Mixing. The development of improved mixers, control systems, and metering devices over the past decade, however, has resulted in Continuous Mixing systems that are accurate, reliable, and easy to use/maintain, including in the area of breads, cookies and crackers.

Continuous Mixing for Crackers
The Exact EX Continuous Mixer is designed to uniformly mix products with very low to very high dough moisture levels. Dough is gently mixed and developed without generating excessive heat. Low moisture, stiff products are easily mixed. The thorough mixing action quickly develops a mass and evenly blends leavening agents into the dough for a uniform piece size after the oven.
The EX Mixer is ideal for wheat-based products such as crackers, pretzels, pizza, sweet goods, as well as for all but the lowest viscosity powder/liquid mixtures and offers dough production rates from 50 to 10,000 kg/hour. Mixer production rates are dependent on the amount of moisture in the formulation, level of development required, temperature and other factors.
The Mixer System can be arranged in different configurations, based on your available space. For factories with lower ceiling heights, we also offer a low-profile design.
What is the Cost of a Continuous Mixing System?
Continuous mixing systems are almost always higher in cost initially than batch mixers. This is because the raw materials that enter the continuous mixer have to be metered, which requires ingredient feeders. On the other hand, cost of operation and ownership is almost always less expensive with continuous mixing. Continuous mixing payback opportunities come from increased yield, increased throughput, increased consistency, reduced manpower, reduced downstream handling equipment, and reduced energy.
