Exact Continuous Mixer Models
Continuous mixing is not the right choice for every application, but neither is batch mixing. Exact Mixing offers several continuous mixer models designed to successfully mix almost any product that can be made with a batch mixer:
MX Continuous Mixer – Ideal for a wide range of products including cookies, snacks, batters, icings, pretzels, pizza and pastes. This is our most versatile mixer and is also an ideal first stage mixer for processes that require creme up and pre-blend stages.
HDX Continuous Mixer – Ideal for buns, breads, English muffins and similar products and specifically designed to manufacture highly developed dough at low temperatures. All ingredients are first mixed into a uniform mass with a twin screw mixer. In a separate section, the dough is kneaded to the proper development level with a single screw mixer.
EX Continuous Mixer – Ideal for wheat-based products such as sweet goods, and crackers, and well-suited for all but the lowest viscosity powder/liquid mixtures; and designed to uniformly mix products where dough moisture levels range from very low to very high. The dough is gently mixed and developed without generating excessive heat.
FX Continuous Mixer – Ideal for hydroscopic powders such as potato flakes used to make fabricated potato chips and any other low moisture mixtures. The mixer is designed to distribute small amounts of moisture evenly into large amounts of powder by lifting the powder into atomized liquids.
LDX Continuous Mixer – Ideal for most types of cookies and other applications where ingredients are blended before flour is added. All ingredients except flour are combined in the crème-up stage, and special mixing elements cut the fat into the other ingredients. The flour is added before the development stage where the final dough is created.
Hydrobond Technology for Added Efficiency
When used with a Continuous Mixer, Exact Mixing’s Hydrobond Technology makes the mixing process even more efficient. It allows for even hydration of a dry ingredient stream (typically flour) before it enters the continuous mixer. No heat is added to the dough. The process offers for a shorter mixing time, a smaller footprint, and saves time and money. The technology can be retrofitted to existing systems.
