Our continuous mixing systems are ideal for the bread and bun, cookie, cracker, baked snack, sweet goods, pizza, and tortilla industries. Customers will also find continuous mixing solutions for non-bakery items, such as protein bars, peanut butter, icings, and pet treats.
Bread, Bun & Roll Production
Exact Mixing has specifically developed the HDX (High Development) Continuous Mixer for ultra-high absorption dough, such as breads, hamburger and hot dog buns, hard rolls, English muffins, tortillas, multi-grain products, and other similar products.
The HDX Mixer is designed to manufacture highly developed dough at low temperatures. It is a 2-stage system that provides precise and uninterrupted ingredient metering to the mixer and mixes all ingredients into a uniform mass with a twin-screw mixer in the first stage. In the second stage, the dough is kneaded to the proper development level with a single screw mixer.
The HDX Mixer offers dough production rates from 1,500 to 10,000 kg/hour.
A complete Exact Mixing Continuous Mixing System consists of the mixer, blender, materials handling and ingredients metering equipment, as well as the control system that monitors and distributes product between them.
Exact mixers feature Loss-in-Weight technology – the most accurate feeding technology available. And all metering and mixing procedures are monitored and initiated by the control system so the operator can confirm and modify as needed.
We provide complete systems, testing, and installation supervision for both straight dough and liquid ferment systems.
Are Continuous Mixing Systems Expensive?
Continuous Mixing Systems are almost always initially higher in cost than batch mixers. This is primarily because the Continuous Mixer requires an ingredient feeder in order to meter raw materials entering the mixer.
But cost of operation and ownership is almost always less expensive than batch mixing. Continuous Mixing payback opportunities come from greater yield, increased throughput, better consistency, reduced manpower, reduced downstream handling equipment, and lower energy usage.
Metering Systems
Exact Mixing also designs and supplies metering systems for nearly every Continuous Mixer we supply. Mixers are designed using Loss-in-Weight technology – the most accurate feeding technology available. And all metering and mixing procedures are monitored and initiated by the control system, so operators can always confirm and modify as needed.
