Continuous Mixing for Rolls & Bread
The Exact Mixing HDX Continuous Mixer specifically to manufacture ultra-high absorption, highly developed dough, such as for breads, rolls, buns, English muffins, tortillas, and multi-grain products, at low temperatures.
This High Development Continuous Mixer manufactures highly developed dough at low temperatures. A two-stage system, it is designed to mix all ingredients into a uniform mass in the first stage with a twin-screw mixer. In the second stage, the dough is kneaded to the proper development level with a single-screw mixer.
The Exact HDX Mixer provides precise and uninterrupted ingredient metering to the mixer and eliminates the chance of contamination because the dough is never exposed to the environment. This mixer offers dough production rates up to 10,000 kg/hour.

- Dough exits the mixer in usable sized loaves
Are Continuous Mixing Systems Expensive?
Continuous Mixing Systems are almost always higher in cost initially than batch mixers. This is because the raw materials entering the Continuous Mixer must be metered, which requires ingredient feeders.
On the other hand, the cost of operation and ownership of a Continuous Mixer is almost always less expensive than batch mixing. Savings opportunities are a result of better yield, better throughput, better consistency, less manpower, less downstream handling equipment, and less energy use.
Watch a Demonstration in the Science & Innovation Center
To see your products being mixed with a Continuous Mixer, we encourage you to visit our Reading Bakery Systems Science & Innovation Center in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, where pilot versions of all types of Exact Mixers are available, in addition to an automated bulk handling system, a horizontal dry blender, gravimetric dry feeders and mass flow liquid systems.
We have a 6-Step Demonstration Process that will demonstrate the many benefits of Continuous Mixing using your ingredients and know-how at a pilot-scale level. This 6-Step Process will help identify advantages such as greater consistency and reduced labor expenses. In addition, you will learn how Continuous Mixing can meet the challenges of food safety and energy efficiency.
